Richie & the Catillacs... are the band for you! We can do everything from dinner music to
packing the dance floor. We play a wide variety of music ( Rock-n-Roll,
Blues and Country from the 50's to the 90's), something for everyone.
Also, our drummer is a DJ and can MC your event.
A small band
with a huge sound! Richie and the Catillacs play a mixture of vintage
rock-n-roll, authentic blues, classic country and rockabilly. The
Vancouver Washington based Catillacs wow the audience with its
multi-talented line-up. Their performances feature searing guitar from
Richie Bean, masterful boogie-woogie piano, gospel organ and solid bass
lines from Leon Holder, and the driving drums of "Bad Daddy" Dave
Whittaker. All three are great singers and take their turns at singing
lead as well as harmony and background vocals.
They've been on
the radio all over the country on alternative, blues and indie stations,
placed in the top 4 of the Cascade Blues Associations coveted "Journey
to Memphis" band contest, and been on the cover of many of the Portland
areas music publications. They've opened for legendary bluesman Curtis
Salgado , Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts, Smokin' Joe Kubeck, Walter
Trout, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, and many more.
